Why there's no Pixel desktop mode app for Mac

Pixel's desktop mode is a platform-level Android feature — it's designed around plugging your phone into an external monitor over USB-C or casting to one wirelessly. Google built it for that use case, not for a companion Mac app, so there's nothing to install from the App Store or Google's site.
